You will be picked up from your location in the morning for an unforgettable experience of Accra, the Capital City of Ghana.
Highlights of the day’s tour include a visit to the W.E.B Dubois Center for a guided tour. The center is a complex of four major buildings which include the home where Dr. DuBois spent his last years.
Continue to Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park which houses the final remains of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first president and freedom fighter of Ghana, and his wife Fatia Nkrumah. At the Museum, you will see many of the things used by Kwame Nkrumah including the car that he drove at the time. Right by the Kwame Nkrumah Museum is the Arts and Crafts Center where you will find authentic Ghanaian kente and beads. You will also have the opportunity to exercise your bargaining skills.
This afternoon, we will take part in a cooking lesson where you will learn how to make authentic and popular Ghanaian dishes including the famous waakye which can be taken as breakfast, lunch or even dinner.
